How safe is it to visit Sri Lanka

People exaggerating can be said about how safe it is to travel to Sri Lanka. Out of my personal perspective, I consider traveling to Sri Lanka and touring in Sri Lanka as safe as any other Asian country.

It is true that fuel, diesel, gas, and various basic commodities are scarce; however, this generally does not affect the traveler and tourist. Despite their personal life challenges, Sri Lankans are happy and welcome every visitor to their beautiful island.

You will find less buses on the roads, and long queues at the petrol sheds, however, private vehicles and taxis are available to get around. Omitting of large gatherings, in general, is always advisable as in any other country in the world.

Photographs propagated in the media look dramatic but it is for the Sri Lankans as their cost of living driven by the inflation and high fuel prices is soaring through the roof.

Besides my personal opinion, I feel it is best if you join Sri Lanka Travel and Tourism | Facebook Over 50'000 people, travelers, visitors, and operators are part of this platform and it talks openly about tourism in Sri Lanka as well as about its safety aspects. "Come and visit Sri Lanka" is the credo - every traveler who does so now finds Sri Lanka is still the same as it was 15 years ago. Few people at temples, parks, wide-open beaches, and plenty of space to let your soul linger. And on top of that with your visit to this beautiful country, you are doing something good - you help the charming and tourist-friendly people of this amazing island and the nation a bit back onto their legs.
